Despite its name Pleasant Hill, this area is known to be a jagged-edged neighbourhood in Saskatoon’s west side and is among the poorest and crime-ridden areas in Urban Canada, however the government is taking steps to clean up the area and make it a safer and more desirable place to reside. The population here is 5,494 and the average household income is around $22,000. Many of the homes here were built before 1908 however much of the building took place between then and 1980. $3.5 Million is being invested in the business and residential areas along with St. Mary’s School.

Within the Core Neighbourhoods Suburban Development Area (West Side), the neighbourhood of Pleasant Hill is triangular in shape and is south of 23rd Street, North-west of the rail line which runs diagonally and east of Avenue W South.
