While the buyer is responsible for land title transfer fees, property and utility costs as of the day of possession and their own legal fees the seller also has legal fees. Before you can access your sale proceeds you will need to pay:

  • Saskatoon real estate commissions
  • Legal survey if you agreed to include this and you couldn’t find it
  • Legal and discharge fees
  • Adjustments to taxes and/or utilities
  • Outstanding mortgage balance and any payout penalties you incur
